“Sea Blocks” depicts geometric concrete blocks that descend like a modernist ancient ruins. The stark white structures, weathered and stained by sea spray, create a bold contrast against the deep blue Adriatic-inspired waters. These architectural elements create pattern of blocks and voids, reminiscent of an abstract sculpture emerging from the sea. Inspired by the sea organ in Zadar, Croatia.
The composition’s strong angular lines are softened by the organic patterns of erosion on the concrete, while the lone figure adds a human element that emphasizes both the scale and serenity of the scene.
